White needle-like crystals, white powdery crystals when the purity is low. Insoluble in water, soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, ether, petroleum ether, toluene, aniline and other organic solvents. Danger of combustion and explosion when exposed to high heat, open flame or mixed with oxidizing agent, after friction and impact. When burning, it releases toxic gas. When heated, it is unstable, and decomposes gradually at 40℃, releasing nitrogen and organic cyanide compounds, which are harmful to human body and emit large heat, and can cause an explosion.
Preparation method
Condensation reaction between hydrazine hydrate and acetone at reflux temperature to produce zine (acetone with nitrogen). Hydrogen cyanide is produced by reacting 70% sulfuric acid with 25%-30% sodium cyanide. The obtained hydrogen cyanide gas is then reacted with hydrazine (acetone with nitrogen) at 55-60°C, after which the reaction is cooled down to obtain diisobutyronitrile hydrazine. Diisobutyronitrile hydrazine reacted with nitrogen at 20℃ or below, then left to settle, filtered, the filtrate was recycled, the filter cake was washed with water, and after separating the water, the boutique azodiisobutyronitrile was obtained. Dissolve the crude product of azodiisobutyronitrile with ethanol, filter, the filtrate is crystallized at low temperature, absorbed and filtered, dried at low temperature, the finished product is obtained.
Usage
Used as initiator in the polymerization of vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, acrylonitrile and other monomers, the dosage is 0.04%～0.2%. It can also be used as foaming agent for rubber and plastic such as polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane, polyvinyl alcohol, acrylonitrile and butadiene copolymer. It can also be used as vulcanizing agent, pesticide and intermediate of organic synthesis.
